Hi everybody. Once again, I find myself apologizing for the lack of blog posts. Life, especially in 2024 has gotten well and truly in the way. But I am back, and I have some exciting news to share with you.
A new, epic book is coming, hopefully on June 3rd and this time several things are completely different. To start with, this isn’t all my own work. I’ve written plenty of content, but this time, my friend and hugely talented, fellow author, Kim Rigby has played a massive part in the construction of the newest book.
We are the co-authors on our new historical thriller novel, The Girl from Berchtesgaden.
Weighing in at over 500 pages, this is the longest novel I have worked on and it’s a book I really enjoyed writing. Kim has added a tremendous amount of quality, knowledge and insight into the novel.
We will fully reveal the cover in a few days, but for now, here is a teaser.
There is something else which I need to announce.
This time, we are publishing independently ourselves, rather than through an established publisher. Don’t worry, we will do everything we can to get the novel into proper bookshops as well as on Amazon and other platforms.
But it does mean that we need your help more than ever. Sharing our posts, talking about this book, posting reviews. All of these will help us to reach a wider audience, so please help in this manner if you can.
In the meantime, while we sort out pre-order links and all the 101 other things, pre-publication, here is the blurb to whet your appetite.
In early 1930s Germany, life for the Stiepermann family was simple yet idyllic. Artistic Ingrid and her inventive brother Dieter loved the freedom of the Bavarian Alps, but that was before the Jew haters surfaced in their society.
Fuelled by Nazi ideologies, Stefan Weiss and his friends suppress and destroy anyone who opposes their beliefs.
While one family battles for supremacy, another is torn apart.
Fleeing the tyranny, Ingrid, and her brother escape to London. Seemingly safe from danger, can Ingrid save her family as war threatens?
Please look out for the upcoming cover reveal and get sharing in readiness for our June publication.
Thanks, and best wishes to you all.
Alistair
